Empowering birth through education.

These Active Birth workshops are research based and focus on preparing you and your partner (or birth support person) for the physical, mental and emotional process of birth.

Whatever style of birth you are planning, being informed, empowered and prepared can help to reduce the fear and pain of childbirth and help you to have a calm,
enriching birth experience. It may also lessen the need for medical interventions and reduce birth trauma.

No matter how you hope to birth your baby, creating a relaxed, supportive environment can assist the mother, child and support team to experience an empowered, inspiring birth that facilitates connection and the transition into Parenthood.

Although I attended weekly Prenatal yoga classes for both of my pregnancies, as well as hospital Ante-natal classes and read every book possible while pregnant, this is the course I wish I had known about before my first birth my husband wishes he had done for our second!

Over the 4 hours of workshops, we will cover;

Informing and educating about the stages of birth, what to expect and ways to manage each stage using evidence-based research.
·
Empowering women and their support team to ask questions, consider their options and make informed choices at each stage of the birth.

Learn yoga postures and sequences to help ease discomfort during pregnancy and birth.
·
Learn Active birthing positions that can help make birth quicker, easier and less painful.

Encouraging fathers and birth support people to work with the mother in a connected and supportive way so they too can be an active participant.
·
Breathing and relaxation techniques to help with stress, anxiety, fear, sleeplessness or labour pains.
·
Ways to communicate with your partner to discuss your wishes and birth plan.
·
Helpful tips and resources for when baby has arrived....and heaps more!
